Life Comes in Waves

Okay, so the site is kind of water themed.
It's mostly because The Prize We Sought is part of a line from O Captain My Captain by Walt Whitman.
Which is actually a poem about Lincoln's assassination, but I liked the idea of a nature theme.

Anyways, here's a little introduction to me

My name is Brandy and I'm 18 years old. I'm graduating this year and I still don't know what I want to do in college. I'm in a relationship with someone very special to me. We've actually been together a year

I like to write all sorts of literature and whatnot. I'm not very experienced but I've been told that I'm decent.
I helped start the Creative Writing Club at my school and now that I'm graduating I'm really going to miss that chance to have people review my work. I'm also going to miss reviewing other peoples' work and having the opportunity to know these people that are such amazing writers.
So that's why I started the site

Anyways, I can't wait to see how this grows!

So today I took my boyfriend to the Renaissance Festival as a late celebration of our anniversary. It's an all day event and it's an hour's drive away so I'm beyond exhausted.

It was worth it, though. We took a carriage ride and he bought me a rose and this pretty little ring. It really was a romantic day.

So I haven't had time to work on the site much today because of it. I'm working on a way to get some more traffic, although four members by the second day isn't a bad start. I encourage everyone to spread the word to those you know who enjoy writing. It's my goal for this to someday be a large but tight-knit community where there is no shortage of content or friendship.

With things going at this rate, hopefully that won't take too long.

Aw! Congratulations on your one year anniversary!

I've honestly never dated anyone that long. It's not that I have commitment issues, I just don't like people enough to force myself to spend time with them.

Anyways, I'm very very happy for you both.

Alright, so I've been informed that signatures aren't showing up on the site and I'm trying to fix it. So look forward to having signatures!

Okay so I've been really really busy for this past week so I'm sorry that I haven't been as active online. I'm a senior so there are a lot of activities I have to go to and things I have to prepare for. I'm kind of going crazy.

Annnnyways, there will be a new group soon called Judges. They're going to help decide the winners of contests. They'll have to collaborate and whatnot to decide the best outcome. But for contests affecting the site the judging will be left to the admins.

Life hasn't been so great lately, and that's why I haven't been online. I'm back now, though I'm still really busy.
I've just moved to a new state, so this next month or so I'll be busy unpacking and trying to enroll in college and get a job and get my life in order.
I'll still try to manage the site as much as possible.
