We've all been there. You haven't written in weeks and you need a good kick in the pants. There are various things you can do to get rid of it.

Sometimes the best thing to do is go out and find inspiration. Take a notepad and a few pencils with you and jot down things that come to mind. You can visit a lake or go out into the woods. If you live in the city go somewhere busy and write about people.

Or maybe you should make a new character that you can't relate to at all. Someone even you don't get. Then write about them. Yeah, you know what you would do in that situation, but what would they do?

Then there are given prompts, which I usually turn to.

Here's a good one for poetry:

Two for creative writing:

And a prompt generator:

It's a little ways down on the page.

That's some good advice! Some more that have been given to me is to just start writing down what's on your mind! Down to every single detail! I wouldn't recommend showing this to anyone, since a writer's mind is a scary place, and the only ones who should see it is you and you only! It sounds a bit scary, but it gets you back to writing!

Another thing is just to take a break! We all need them sometimes. A little break to go eat a snack, go to the restroom, or play thirty minutes of your favorite game can really get the creative juices flowing!
